Microsoft Edge introduced Kids Mode to contend against Google Chrome

In contrast with other web browsers, Edge’s Microsoft has been contending with Google Chrome in the war-field of the web browser. Edge has been doing this by adding new features that users have already wanted to see on web browser apps like Chrome.

Microsoft Edge Kids Mode

The most recent one is the Kids Mode which is accessible to the Microsoft Edge canary build. You can now try out Kid’s Mode, a convenient browser mode built for kids if you installed Microsoft Edge Canary as part of the research. It sets several guides for safeguarding the privacy and protection of children when surfing the internet.

For example, when a child begins using kid’s mode, Microsoft Bing can tailor the interface and content delivery. Users can choose a filter that only displays safe content for custom edge themes. Similarly, there are ways to create a permit/blocklist of websites, configure Bing SafeSearch, and set up a password.

Kids Mode is a convenient browsing mode inside Microsoft Edge that’s designed for kids. With its kid-friendly features and safety guardrails in place, Kids Mode is a great place for children to safely explore the web. Kids Mode includes features like custom browser themes, kid-friendly content, browsing based on an allow list, Bing SafeSearch set to strict, and a password requirement to exit. Also, Kids Mode doesn’t require a child account or profile,” Microsoft said.

Microsoft can also recommend certain options depending on the children’s age. The friend’s tab in Setting the approved Edge variants would also have several separate sections. This segment includes extensive details about how Edge Kid’s Mode can be customized.

The availability of Kids Mode on the Edge browser does not give us a clear timetable. It is available currently in the Canary build and functions for the Windows and macOS English versions in the US. However, some sources say the feature will appear very quickly on the Dev channel.

It must also be remembered that the Edge kids mode doesn’t insist that your kids have an account, which isn’t the case elsewhere too. In short, the proposed Microsoft Edge Kids Mode seems to be sufficiently strong to use current alternatives. However, the ad strategy for kid’s mode is still unclear.

Given the time that Microsoft takes in private and public to validate those functions, only in a few weeks can we see the Kids Mode functionality? You can download the Edge Canary edition if you are desperate and do not want to wait, but this version has incomplete functions and glitches.
